While the 50% off promo expires tomorrow, there's still good news for prospective prepaid customers. Optus is extending its double data recharge bonus to all Prepaid Ultimate Plus plans of $40 and up.
Sign up before September 4, and you'll enjoy twice the included data on your first recharge. Data and prices are as follows:
Prepaid Ultimate Plus $40: 7GB (14GB on first recharge)
Prepaid Ultimate Plus $50: 10GB (20GB on first recharge)
Prepaid Ultimate Plus $60: 12GB (24GB on first recharge)
Your bonus double data applies for your first recharge only, and will revert to the regular included gigabytes on subsequent recharges. However, Optus prepaid customers can roll over up to 10GB of unused data in total when recharging before their plan's 28-day expiry.
All Prepaid Ultimate Plus plans include unlimited standard national talk and messages, while plans from $40 also feature unlimited standard international calls to 15 selected countries (including the UK, New Zealand, the US and China), plus $10 of extras credit per recharge.
All of the above plans also come with unlimited data-free music streaming from partnering services between now and January 28, 2018. You can stream never-ending music from Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music and iHeartRadio, at speeds of up to 512Kbps.
Optus' double data recharge deal is live now. If you're looking to save on a SIM Starter Kit, you've still got 24 hours to grab the half-price $20 offer mentioned earlier. Or, check out competing prepaid plans from each Australian telco here.
