Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian West’s influence on iPhone culture right now is undeniable. From selfies, to ‘belfies’, and her hugely successful lifestyle app and Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game, the socialite-turned-reality-star-turned-rap-wife has stretched her fifteen minutes into a multi-million dollar empire.
But the mother-of-two's App Store dominance is no longer limited to freenium games and beauty advice. Starting today, you can download your very own Kardashian-approved alternative to the popular Emoji keyboard for iPhone, the unsurprisingly-named Kimoji.
The app includes over 250 exclusive ‘emoji’ icons that can be used with your device’s messaging and email services (such as Messages, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and more). Kimoji features an integrated QWERTY keyboard, and allows users to copy their choice of pictogram to the phone’s clipboard to paste in-text.
Available icons are as Kim-centric as you’d expect, although cute cartoon versions of food, cosmetics, clothes and miscellaneous symbols are also included. Download the Kimoji pack, and you’ll have access to sticker versions of Kim’s butt selfies, Kim ‘breaking the internet’, Kim’s face contouring technique, and the ever-popular Kim Kardashian Cry Face.
Kimoji, YEMOJI, what's next?
According to Kim herself, it took almost two years of work between her creative and tech teams to bring Kimoji to the masses. The debut pack can be downloaded now for $1.99, with Kim promising future updates are already on the way.
Of course, while this is the first official Kardashian-related emoji pack , the unauthorised YEMOJI app has been available from the App Store since August. Billed as ‘the greatest emoji keyboard OF ALL TIME’ , the app features a wide selection of expressions from Kardashian husband and noted speech interrupter Kanye West.
With both Mr. and Mrs. Kardashian West now available to consumers as emojis, it’s only a matter of time before the pair’s children get the same treatment. While Kimoji will keep Kardashian fans sated for now, we’re still eagerly awaiting the future ‘Northmoji’ and ‘Saintmoji’ updates to our keyboards.
