iPhone 8

Apple will unveil the next iPhone on September 12 as part of San Francisco keynote, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhones: a radically redesigned edge-to-edge iPhone 8, and an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus that build on last year's devices.

The September 12 date suggests that new iPhones will be available for pre-order on September 15, ahead of a sale date of either September 22 or September 29.

In addition to new iPhones, we're expecting to see a 4K HDR Apple TV, a third generation Apple Watch, and more on the Siri-powered HomePod smart speaker. Apple will almost certainly provide release dates for iOS 11, macOS Sierra, and watchOS 4 as part of the presentation.

Apple tends to livestream its product announcement keynotes, but Aussies hoping to watch a long from home should prepare for a 3am or 4am start on September 13.
